St. Stephen's Community Church, United Church of Christ, is called by God our Creator to build strong and committed disciples for Jesus Christ. We proclaim the biblical story of liberation, hope, and love, and celebrate the rich spiritual legacy of the African American experience and tradition.

St. Stephen's Community Church, United Church of Christ, is a spirit-filled, passionate Christian community which supports the call to witness locally and globally. By the leading of the Holy Spirit, we:

• Offer ourselves in worship and praise to the Lord.
• Preach and teach the Word.
• Proclaim and live out the Good News of Jesus Christ.
• Carry out God's call to service.
• Embrace the cost and joy of transformation to discipleship.
• Practice faithful stewardship and tithing.
• Grow through the continuous study of the Word of God.
• Share fellowship in a covenanted community of faith.
• Affirm and bridge our ancestral connection with Africa.
• Advocate for social justice and peace.
